Claes is a media producer and writer who spent many months train hiking around the European continent in the 1970s. Doing that, he experienced the culture, and also daily met other travelers from around the world. Out of those experiences came the inspiration for Summer of ’76 — Carensa Holt: a coming of age story.
When he is not writing on this book, he runs a media production company, where he focuses on creative ways to tell his clients’ stories.
He lives with his wife in central Arkansas. They have one grown daughter.
